This past Saturday, we rolled up our front gate and took our brand new ERV—short for Educational Response Vehicle—on the road to the Oakland Roots game at Laney College Stadium where we had the opportunity to engage with soccer fans young and old.

This past Thursday, 327 students from eight local scools descended on our studio for the first of four Field Trip Days we’re hosting this Spring. Every year we open our 56,000 square-foot studio to Bay Area students so they can see what industrial arts education looks like up close.
This past Fall, we joined forces with Centro Community Partners to offer our first ever nine-week entrepreneurship program, designed to help artisans, craftspeople, and makers start and launch a small business.
Soirée is The Crucible’s once-a-year glittering fundraising event that raises more than $150,000 to fund scholarships and support for our industrial arts education programs. At The Crucible's 2020 Fire & Light Soirée, for one night only, this industrial arts school transforms into an elegant ballroom with luminous art installations, breathtaking performances that awe and inspire, and of course, fire!

Robert Graf was always passionate about technology and art. He dabbled in electronics at an early age and has long been interested in neon even before his first neon class six years ago. Now he's using his neon experience to give back.
