Thank you to everyone who braved the storms this weekend and made it out to GIFTY 2019! Staff, faculty, and volunteers came together to make our studio shine, and all the months of effort by our vendors leading up to GIFTY fully paid off. The wide range of beautiful and hand-crafted goods, from jewelry to candles to embroidery kits, were the best and brightest collection we've ever had! Check out our favorite GIFTY 2019 photos from the event!
Are you ready for two days of epic shopping, industrial art demos, and family fun? We hope so because GIFTY is just around the corner! GIFTY 2021 is the best place in the Bay to find your holiday gifts made right here by local artists, small businesses, and Crucible faculty.

For the past few years, Valerie Fish has found inspiration for her stained glass all around her, be it California poppies or a drawing by her son. As a longtime maker, Valerie knows the importance of art, especially for our youth, and when presented with an opportunity to support The Crucible’s programming through Giving Back at GIFTY, she jumped at the chance!
This has been an especially challenging year for makers and small businesses. So we knew it was important to continue our 17-year-long tradition of GIFTY, our annual craft show. But this year, for the first time, GIFTY is going virtual. Starting November 9, we'll be highlighting over 80 Bay Area makers and small businesses selling things like original jewelry, handcrafted soaps, sculpted glassware, and so much more.
With in-person events and markets back in 2021, you can support local makers this holiday season. Read on to learn how you can support local artists.
