BIO

My experience forging began when I was twelve years old, when I started learning how to blacksmith under the tutelage of Herb Upham: a long time forger, machinist and former head of the California Blacksmith Association (CBA). I was drawn to the craft because I was inspired by this ancient art, and how it brings a tangible connection to history. My passion led me to buy my own forge back in 2004, which I have been using to make tools, swords and replica armor ever since.

I first started coming to the Crucible more than ten years ago, and have studied and taught there on and off. I'm excited to be back assisting on the Blacksmithing team.
