It was refreshing to have youth back in our studios for Spring Camps last week! Over seventy youth ages eight to eighteen spent their spring breaks at The Crucible, learning skills and concepts that overlap science, technology, engineering, art, and math in spring camps. Imaginations soared, sparks flew, and creativity was let loose during our spring camps spanning seven different industrial arts techniques and practices. Campers experimented with different media and techniques and connected with creative mentors and new friends while creating welded sculpture, extreme gizmos, clay animals, gravity cars, and more. We loved seeing youth make new friends and connect with one another. There were a number of sibling pairings in our studios, including three sets of twins in Extreme Gizmos!

With Spring Break camps behind us, we are already looking forward to jam packed summer camps! And we know many of our students will be returning. Lisa, one of our camper’s moms, said, “Mia finished a wonderful week doing Glass Flameworking- fantastic teachers and organization! She’s already signed up for a Glass Blowing summer session!”

During Summer Camps, we are proud to offer expanded programming, like Youth Frame Alteration: Art Bike, Leather Working, Glass Blowing, Youth Skateboard Building, and more!
