We’d like to thank everyone involved for being a part of The Crucible’s Fire & Light Soirée and Art Auction. We sincerely hope you enjoyed the evening as much as we did!
As always, our guests arrived in full, fabulous attire. Our main studio space was transformed into a breathtaking performance hall, complete with a gallery of the art up for auction. The night featured amazing performances by Rose Nisker, Omega Recoil and members of Gamelan X and Gamelan Sekar Jaya. These amazing performers, along with thundering fire effects and a 1,000,000 volt Tesla coil, made for a spectacular event.
This year we had 240 guests join us for the evening, and grossed over $130,000! This will assist us in further achieving our mission of arts, industry and community by providing industrial arts education that is accessible to our community.
Without the help of our supporting community we would not have been able to have such a successful evening. This year, The Crucible will serve over 4,000 young students with industrial arts education, and provide over $75,000 in youth scholarships. Our Fire & Light Soirées assist us in raising the necessary funds to achieve our goals, and this year’s event was no exception.
Special thanks again to Grace Street Catering, O’Shaughnessy Winery, Oro Pisco, Periscope Cellars, Lagunitas Brewing Company, Greg Hessel, and Durwood Zedd.
Thanks to Ed Jay Photography / Oakland Magazine for sharing these wonderful photos.
Special thanks to all of the artists who donated their works for the Soiree Art Auction:
