Update re: Alameda County Stay-at-home Order

NOTE: This post has been updated to reflect the extension of the stay-at-home order to January 7. Last updated Wednesday, January 6.

Classes will run this weekend Dec 5 & 6

1/6/2021 update: Classes that start between Dec. 7-Jan. 24 are cancelled

In accordance with Alameda County’s regional stay-at-home order, The Crucible will be cancelling all adult classes starting between Dec. 7, 2020-Jan. 24, 2021. The adult classes that are running this weekend December 5 and 6 will still run.

Studio access programs and youth programs are still operating in a limited fashion, in accordance with the order.

Customers who purchased items from Giving Back at GIFTY or The Crucible’s apparel and merchandise will be able to pick them up on-site during our curbside pick-up on Saturday, Dec. 5. The pick-up day scheduled for Saturday, Dec. 12, 2020 is cancelled. All customers who wish to pick up their online purchases on-site can coordinate with Crucible staff individually, who are happy to accommodate.

All classes that start after Jan. 4, 2021 are at this time still scheduled and are available for registration on our online store.

The Crucible is dedicated to keeping our community safe. The COVID-19 crisis is having a devastating effect on young people and our community of working artists—we ask that you consider supporting our mission to keep the industrial arts accessible for everyone.
