From blacksmithing to neon, glass casting, ceramics, welding, kinetics, and fire performing, The Crucible provides cutting-edge arts education programs to 7,500 adult and youth students annually through workshops and programs that blend arts, industry, and community. The Crucible is also highly regarded for its annual, innovative collaborative performances that combine classical ballet dancers with hip hop and modern dancers, industrial artists, fire performers, and aerialists. Thousands flock annually to The Crucible’s Fire Arts Festival, a spectacular open-air exhibition of interactive fire art, performance, and the largest collection of outdoor fire sculpture on the West Coast. These dynamic programs and events provide arts access to over 20,000 children and adults each year.
