Please Welcome Robyn Bykofsky, Director Of Programs

We are pleased to announce that The Crucible is welcoming Robyn Bykofsky as our new Director of Programs! This role is crucial to The Crucible, overseeing classes, faculty, events, community outreach, and so much more.

Robyn has lived in Oakland for over 25 years and worked with a number of Bay Area arts nonprofits like Youth UpRising, Ninth Street Independent Film Center, Berkeley Repertory Theatre, The UC Theatre, and AXIS Dance Company. She has also worked in film production, sound engineering, and event management.

“Robyn is a maker at heart, who will enjoy and relate to the hands-on work that we do,” says Susan Mernit, Executive Director of The Crucible. “Robyn’s understanding of our goals and how we want to expand our work with artists and youth in our community is a real asset. She has the experience to help our amazing Programs’ team flourish, helping to foster their leadership, skills, and abilities.”
