Kate is a multidisciplinary artist and educator who recently relocated from Chicago to the East Bay. Her art practice and teaching philosophy are centered around playfulness, inclusivity, and teamwork that fosters strong relationships.
Kate received a BFA with an Emphasis in Art Therapy from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. She spent the last four years working with Chicago youth at Firebird Community Arts as an instructor in their Project FIRE program. Kate is passionate about introducing people to glass and creative expression as a means of experimentation, self-reflection and healing. She’s very excited to be a part of The Crucible team and continue to create and grow as a teaching artist.
