Hot Couture
Since 2007, haute couture has been turned on its ear, Crucible-style, at Hot Couture—a spectacular flaming fashion show that features wearable art from the Bay Area’s most cutting-edge designers. The theme for Hot Couture 2017 “The Beautiful Ones” was inspired by the boundary-defying showmanship of Prince. The Crucible encouraged its designers to build strong runway presentations that personified diversity, funk, and excellence in all its forms with models and collaborative performances that celebrated the intersection of arts, industry, and fashion.
