Thrilled by Pop Art in London in the 1960’s, and later introduced to the panorama of Americana, he has constantly been inspired to paint. The mythology of landscape has given him the opportunity to mix history, poetry, memory and autobiography in an attempt to achieve a spiritual high ground - that necessary condition of great painting.
