In 1988, he was a guest artist in Korea, showing his work in Seoul and at Kongju University. He worked as an artist in New York for twelve years, making kinetic, video and light sculpture to create a poetry borne out of urban experience. Norman was also a member of the Brooklyn Waterfront Artists' Coalition (BWAC), staging large scale outdoor sculpture exhibitions.
