 Monica Phillips

Monica Phillips has degrees in Biological Science and Medical Technology. Monica has been working in the pharmaceutical industry since 1984, but her life was truly enhanced in 1994 when she became an avid student of fine crafts, working with clay, metal and glass. She studied soft glass fusing and slumping through the City of Walnut Creek Civic Arts Program under Penny Reuter of Hot Box Stained Glass in Walnut Creek and Jim Wixton; glass beadmaking with Penny Reuter and Laurie Berkson; and borosilicate flameworking wtih Jay Bridgland. She has her own glass and jewelry business and works out of her studio in Pleasant Hill, CA.
