He received a BA in Creative Process from the University of Redlands and a MFA in sculpture from Bowling Green State University. After working for several years as an artist-fabricator in Los Angeles and San Francisco, Jo came to the Crucible, first as a Studio Manager, and then as a faculty member. He is currently employed by California College of the Arts as their Alternative Materials Studio Manager.
