He has taught and managed a team of flame workers who created a wide array of unique glass art ranging from colorful goblets, vases and bottles to pendants and paperweights. Jay has had a high success rate in introducing professional flame workers into the community. His artwork is an evolution of consistent change. A colorful array of complex patterns integrated with fluid shapes that seem to have been frozen in the moment. Watching Jay dance with the glass behind the flame with a style of ease and fluidity has shortened the learning curve for many of his lampworking students.
