 Ed Kirshner

Ed Kirshner was born in New York City in 1940. He studied architecture and sculpture at Cornell University, UC Berkeley and the Oskar Kokoschka School of Vision in Austria. After decades of developing and financing affordable housing, he discovered glass and neon art, as well as the new theories of self-organizing chaos. He subsequently studied at California College of Arts and Crafts, the Pilchuck and Corning glass schools and Northlands Creative Glass in Scotland. His glass and gas plasma sculptures have been exhibited in Asia and the US, including several shows at the Museum of Neon Art in LA where he is a Trustee.
