She has sewn profesionally for fifteen years and taught sewing in the Bay Area for six. Her background includes theatrical costuming, alterations and sample making for fashion designers. Recent projects include award-winning costumes, costuming for tribal bellydance, reworking vintage garments and textiles and patternmaking for accessory designers. She recieved a BA in Studio Art from CSU Chico and studied filmaking and photography at City College in San Francisco.
