Although we are on the quarter system, new classes start at various points within every quarter. We’ve updated our class “index” page so at a glance, you can view which classes are still coming up! And as you’ll see, there are a LOT of them about to start this week, on 5/20, 5/22, 5/23 and 5/24. Many begin next week as well, on 5/26 and each day through 5/31. Check it out! Become a Crucible member and you’ll get 10% off tuition fees at any time.
New Belgium Brewing continues their fun program called the Slow Ride Sessions, here at The Crucible on Thursday, 5/21 at 5:30pm. This event begins with yoga and will proceed with a slow bike ride to the Actual Cafe. FREE on the 3rd Thursday of each month. Please join us!
Space is still available! Spend an evening learning hands-on skills, followed by a social drink with your classmates to compare notes and chill out. Choose from three entry-level disciplines: glass fusing, jewelry or leather. May 22 or June 19, 6:30-10pm, just $75.
Coming directly from the Glass Arts Society’s 44th Annual Conference in June, nationally known glass artist Ed Schmid will conduct a weeklong master class at The Crucible! This action-packed, history-filled intensive will explore popular methods of glassmaking from the past two millennia, from small pitchers, perfume bottles and “snuffs”— suggestive of core-formed vessels (complete with a “feathering motif”) — to works of the Cristallo-era and beyond. June 8-12 and enrollment is limited.
